Microsoft has quietly posted a new **Surface Mouse** on Amazon, and it's a notable step up from the company's earlier accessories.

The listing highlights **advanced haptics** that add tactile feedback with every click, drag, and scroll — Microsoft's pitch is that you'll feel more confident and in control while navigating documents, apps, and creative work. It's the kind of feature usually associated with premium mice, not the basic Bluetooth accessories Microsoft has sold in the past.

## A "Magic Button" for Copilot

The headline feature might be the **customizable action button** , which Microsoft describes as "a magic button to do more." It can be set to launch **Copilot** and other favorite tools, giving quick access to AI features without reaching for the keyboard.

## Built for Multi-Device Work

The mouse can **connect and switch between up to three devices** , which is aimed at people juggling a Surface, a desktop, and maybe a tablet throughout the day.

## Design and Materials

Microsoft says the mouse is "made for Surface," with premium materials and a finish designed to match Surface devices. The Platinum and Black colorways line up with the Surface palette.

## Battery Life

Microsoft rates battery life at **up to six months** on the included AAA batteries — no rechargeable battery here, which is a practical choice for a device that might sit unused for stretches.

## The Bottom Line

The new Surface Mouse is Microsoft's most feature-rich mouse in years: **haptic feedback** , a **Copilot shortcut button** , and **three-device switching** in a package that matches Surface hardware. At around $99.99, it's priced like a premium accessory, and the haptics are the main reason to consider it over a cheaper Bluetooth mouse.
