OnePlus has confirmed the date for its next performance flagship duo.
The OnePlus Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro will launch on October 29 at 19:00 China time , according to an official post from OnePlus's Weibo account. OnePlus is billing the pair as "performance-boosting dual flagships."
Active Cooling, Done Differently
The Ace 7 series has already appeared on e-commerce platforms with reservations open, and the design is clear: a rectangular camera module with an active cooling fan built into the module .
OnePlus China President Li Jie used the teaser to push back on the idea that simply having a fan is enough. He noted that many phones now include active cooling fans, but "having a fan doesn't mean the experience is well executed" — pointing to common problems like hot air blowing onto your hands in landscape gaming, or intake vents getting blocked by your fingers.

OnePlus is claiming four specific design choices for its fan system:
| Detail | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Dual airflow paths | One path cools the chip, one cools the back cover — a OnePlus first |
| Smart intake placement | Intake vents positioned so fingers don't block them during gaming |
| Upward exhaust | Hot air is pushed upward, away from your hands |
| Back-cover cooling | Cool air passes over the back panel to reduce hand sweat |
The pitch is that cooling isn't just about the chip — it's about the whole experience of holding the phone during long sessions.
Tipped Specs
The Ace 7 series will split between two chips:
| Model | Processor (rumored) |
|---|---|
| Ace 7 | Snapdragon 8E5V |
| Ace 7 Pro | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (8E5) |
Both models are tipped to feature 185Hz high-refresh displays and a 200MP HP5 main camera .
What We Don't Know
OnePlus hasn't confirmed pricing, battery capacity, charging speeds, or global availability. Reservations are live in China, but the phones haven't been listed for markets outside China.
The Bottom Line
The Ace 7 series is shaping up as OnePlus's answer to the current wave of gaming phones with active cooling — and the company is trying to differentiate on ergonomics rather than just airflow numbers. The dual-airflow design and upward exhaust are practical fixes for real complaints about fan-equipped phones.
With the October 29 launch just a week away, expect more spec confirmations in the coming days.
