REDMI has dropped a new variant of its Note 17 Pro in China, and this one's all about options — not upgrades.

The **REDMI Note 17 Pro Refresh Edition** goes on sale with a starting price of **¥1,599** , but early buyers get **¥200 off** , bringing the entry price down to **¥1,399** . If you were hoping for a spec bump, though, you're out of luck — the core hardware is unchanged. This refresh is strictly about colors and storage configurations.

## New Colors, Same Phone

The Refresh Edition comes in three colorways:

| Color                   | Status    |
| ------------------------- | ----------- |
| **Flowing Sand Orange** | New       |
| **Vitality Green**      | New       |
| **Black**               | Carryover |

For comparison, the standard Note 17 Pro offers four options: **Black, White, Sky Blue, and Nebula Purple** . So REDMI is swapping out two of the quieter shades for a pair of bolder ones.

## Storage Shuffle

The storage lineup has also been reworked. The Refresh Edition offers three tiers:

| Configuration   | Notes                   |
| ----------------- | ------------------------- |
| **6GB + 256GB** | New entry-level option  |
| **8GB + 128GB** | Lower storage, more RAM |
| **8GB + 256GB** | Mid-tier                |

The standard model, by contrast, comes in four configurations: **8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 8GB + 512GB, and 12GB + 256GB** . The Refresh Edition's 6GB + 256GB option is clearly aimed at buyers who want more storage without paying for extra RAM.

## What's Under the Hood

Nothing has changed on the hardware side. The Refresh Edition still runs on the **Snapdragon 6s Gen 4** processor, paired with a massive **9,000mAh Xiaomi Jinsha River battery** and **67W wired fast charging** . Around back, there's a **50MP main camera** .

## Display and Durability

The Note 17 Pro originally launched in **July 2026** , and the Refresh Edition carries over the same display and durability specs:

* **6.83-inch 1.5K OLED flat display**
* **120Hz adaptive refresh rate**
* **3,500 nits peak brightness**
* **3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming** plus **DC-like dimming**
* **Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2** protection
* **SGS and CQC dual five-star drop resistance certifications**
* **IP66 / IP68 / IP69 / IP69K** dust and water resistance
* **TÜV Rheinland 72-hour long-duration waterproof certification**

## The Bottom Line

The REDMI Note 17 Pro Refresh Edition isn't trying to be a new phone — it's a mid-cycle shake-up. Two fresh colors and a new 6GB + 256GB option give buyers a lower entry point and a bit more variety. If you already own a Note 17 Pro, there's nothing here worth upgrading for. But if you're in the market for a budget phone with a huge battery and a durable build, the ¥1,399 first-sale price is a solid deal.
