iPhone Duo First Teardown Reveals a Matte Film Hiding the Crease—and a Repairability Nightmare
Huaqiangbei repair blogger Yang Changshun livestreamed the first public teardown of the iPhone Duo and peeled off Apple's "nano-texture protective layer" with his bare hands. With the film gone, the display shifts from matte to glossy—and the crease becomes immediately visible. Apple charges ¥398 to replace the film, but a damaged inner display costs ¥7,998 to repair.
